Solarize Kickoff

June 12 is the kickoff of the Solarize Newburyport program. As a “Solarize” city, Newburyport home and small business owners will soon be able to install solar photovoltaic systems at a lower cost than is available elsewhere.

At “Solar 101” representatives from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and the City of Newburyport will explain: How the Solarize Massachusetts program works; The bulk purchasing program that is the key to Solarize Massachusetts — namely, the more people that participate, the lower the cost for everyone; The various federal and state tax incentives available; What Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs) are, and how they make a solar PV system more affordable than ever; and, How solar PV works, what you need to do to “go solar.”

If you’ve ever thought about investigating the benefits and costs of a solar energy system for your home or small business, don’t miss this meeting.

There’s no cost to attend, no obligation … just information.

Tuesday, June 12, 2012, 7:00 pm at Newburyport City Hall Auditorium, 60 Pleasant Street.
